Merry Edwards & Ken Coopersmith
In 1997, Merry Edwards established her eponymous brand with a focus on producing Pinot Noir from the finest vineyards in Sonoma County's Russian River Valley. In 2008, she and her husband, Ken Coopersmith, completed their new winery on the site of Coopersmith Vineyard. In addition to this property, their estate vineyards now include Cresta dʹOro, Flax, Georganne, Meredith Estate and Sanchietti. They continue to partner with several dedicated local growers to supplement this estate production. Along with two regional blends, six vineyard-designated Pinot Noirs are bottled. In 2001, a barrel fermented Sauvignon Blanc was added to the portfolio. Her handcrafted wines are available direct from the winery and in fine restaurants throughout the United States.
Merry's most recent accolades include being voted the #3 Most Popular Pinot Noir in the Wine & Spirits 21st Annual Restaurant Poll. Food & Wine magazine's 13th Annual American Wine Awards named Merry's 2009 Sauvignon Blanc the "Best Sauvignon Blanc over $20." Also, Wine Enthusiast magazine voted her 2007 Meredith Estate Pinot Noir No. 24 of the Top 100 of 2010.
