Kristina Dunn
Kristina Dunn Buchanan grew up on Howell Mountain, running around the vineyard and winery with her older sister and brother. With the family business in the backyard there was always plenty to be involved in. By age 10 she was tying vines in the vineyard and helping her parents during harvest
In 2005 Kristina graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a BS in Wine & Viticulture. While there, she had been part of the Vines to Wines group and worked in the tasting room at Domaine Alfred. After graduating she returned to the Napa Valley and worked in the tasting room of Cardinale Winery in Oakville before coming to work full time at Dunn Vineyards in 2007.
Kristina is the Director of Marketing at Dunn Vineyards, although she finds that her responsibilities at the winery vary. She and older brother Mike (Dunn Vineyard’s Cellar Master) joke that when you work for a family winery you never really sick to your job titles. Kristina enjoys working in different areas of the market, participating in wine events, and working with reps around the country. She also finds that harvest is one of her favorite times to put the travel on hold and work alongside her brother and father on the crush pad.
Kristina and her husband, Brian Buchanan, live a quarter mile down the road from the winery, just outside the town of Angwin on Howell Mountain. Brian is a fire fighter for the city of Santa Rosa.
